FINISHER’S MAGAZINE

Once again, this year, Valencia was the epicentre of international running as 10,530 runners from across Europe flew through the Ciudad del Running and landed with a new SuperMedal. From the SuperHalfs circuit, which continues to include this half marathon as one of its six star events. Along with Lisbon, Prague, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Berlin, which was the new addition to the 2024 calendar, Valencia is part of a race circuit created for amateur runners. Any runner who registers for one of these events can complete all six events (five if they have started the circuit before Berlin was included) and climb the podium of finishers who have managed to collect all the medals and enter the Hall of Fame. The SuperHalfs were launched in April 2022 with the aim of promoting sports tourism. It is a unique opportunity to travel across the old continent... in running shoes. Create your own adventure. Run and discover the most iconic places in Europe. Tick off new challenges with a map in your backpack. That is the big challenge. Travel, run and enjoy. And thousands of runners did exactly that in Valencia. Because this was the final event in the SuperHalfs 2024 calendar. The Valencia Half Marathon was 39 única la ilusión de aquellos que recibieron la medalla que acredita el éxito de su recorrido por Europa. Para muchos, Valencia fue última parada.
