FINISHER’S MAGAZINE

7 The 33rd Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich will go down in history: in addition to Kejelcha's world record and Boulaid's Spanish women's record, the race registered more finishers than ever before. The 24,240 finishers broke barriers. The Valencia Half Marathon once again outdid itself. Not only because of the records, the stellar performances and the big names in international athletics, but also because every year more runners decide to come and discover the Ciudad del Running. In the 33rd edition held on 27 October, the 25,000 race bibs were sold out almost nine months before the race was held. Despite this being the sixth consecutive year that the race has had to hang up the ‘sold out’ sign, the runners who choose Valencia A HIGH-FLYING HALF MARATHON never cease to surprise: this time, more people than ever managed to pass under the finish arch in Avenida de Tarongers. The figure of 24,240 finishers confirms that it is also a high-flying half marathon for amateur runners. This year, with more than 62 cheering points along the route, not even the rain could prevent Valencia from adding this new record to its collection.
