Autorrecordatorio: “¡Disfruta, tete!” Note to self: “Enjoy yourself, mate!” Fran is from Valencia. From Valencia... for ever and ever. He started running almost without a plan, surrounded by friends who gradually joined in, and that’s how Tete’s Team was born. Did we mention that Fran is from Valencia? The name of their group is as Valencian as their spirit. As he crossed the finish line of the Valencia Half Marathon, Fran asked to be filmed while they put the medal around his neck. And then, right after that, he turned to the camera with a huge smile and shouted, “21 kilometres, no big deal! Not everyone can do this!”. Who are you sending this message to? we asked. It was for the most important person: himself. It was recorded to remind himself that every finish line counts, that all the effort deserves to be celebrated. A good way to remember what is truly important to him: enjoying life. This is why he tries to hold onto every stride, high fiving the children in the crowd, and letting himself get swept up in the energy of his city. 101 Fran es de Valencia. De Valencia... de toda la vida. Empezó corriendo casi sin plan, rodeado de amigos que se fueron sumando poco a poco y así nació el Tete’s Team. ¿Hemos dicho que Fran es de Valencia? El nombre de su grupo es tan valenciano como su espíritu. Al cruzar la meta del Medio Maratón Valencia, Fran pidió que le grabaran mientras le ponían la medalla. Y, justo después, se giró a cámara con una sonrisa enorme y gritó: “¡21 km, casi nada! ¡Esto no lo hace todo el mundo!”. ¿Y a quién le envías este mensaje?, preguntamos. Era para la persona más importante: él mismo. Se grabó para autorrecordarse que cada meta cuenta, que cada esfuerzo merece celebrarse. Una buena manera de no olvidar lo realmente importante para él: disfrutar la vida. Por eso, trata de sentir cada zancada, choca las manos con los niños y niñas del público, y se deja llevar por la energía de su ciudad.
