Pacers that love Valencia Sandra has many kilometres behind her, but this time she was not running just for herself. She was one of the MSC Pilots, the one for runners wishing to finish in 1 hour and 40 minutes (pilots is what pacers are called in Valencia), because, as she said, “I have a great time and I love helping people”. And it showed: her smile at the finish line said it all. She has good memories of the race. The weather, with its gentle, steady rain, seemed ideal to her: “This is always better than sweltering heat”, she remarked. For Sandra, Valencia has something special: “Here, people cheer you on at every turn, there isn’t a single stretch without applause or a street without energy”, she proudly said. And she knows what she is talking about: this was her 31st half marathon. Or, perhaps, her 32nd. Sandra has lost count.. 99 Liebres que aman Valencia Sandra lleva muchos kilómetros a sus espaldas, pero esta vez no corría solo por ella. Fue una de los Prácticos MSC de 1h40 (prácticos es como en Valencia se conoce a las liebres), porque, como decía, “me lo paso fenomenal y me encanta ayudar a la gente”. Y eso se nota: su sonrisa en meta lo decía todo. Recuerda la carrera con muy buenas sensaciones. El clima, con esa lluvia suave y constante, a ella le pareció ideal: “Siempre es mejor esto que un calor sofocante”, comentaba. Para Sandra, Valencia tiene algo especial: “Aquí la gente anima en cada rincón, no hay un tramo sin aplausos ni una calle sin energía”, contaba con orgullo. Y sabe de lo que habla: esta fue su media maratón número 31. ¿O quizá la 32? Sandra ha perdido la cuenta...
