For many participants in the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, running is not just about chasing pacers or achieving personal bests. Running is an escape, a way of life beyond the result, a way to climb their own emotional mountain. These are issues addressed by Edurne Pasaban, one of the world’s most renowned mountaineers, in her lectures at all kinds of sporting events throughout Spain. This was the new idea from the Valencia Half Marathon for those who still had energy left to celebrate after the race. Because there are two types of runners: those who run to reach the finish line fastest and those who run to celebrate their successes. This party was for the latter.
