FINISHER’S MAGAZINE

¿El típico runner romántico? Sí, pero con mucha clase. The typical romantic runner? Yes, but with a lot of class. This is Migue, an Andalusian who started running 35 years ago. Since then, he says, he cannot imagine a day without it. Running is part of his life, as it is for the woman who would one day become his wife. They run together, but she wriggled out of having her photo taken as she was soaked after an epic finish to the race. They still enjoy running together as a couple. Every race, every finish line, every training session. “I dedicate all my races to her”, he proudly declared. And there have been quite a few. A true romantic when it comes to running. “Valencia deserves the title Ciudad del Running because of its hospitality, organisation, enthusiasm... it’s amazing”. This is coming from someone who has been running all his life and who, even today, still enjoys every stride as if it were his first.
