As was to be expected, coach José Garay's Rookies' Corner by Serrano was another of the highlights at La Placeta INNSiDE by Meliá Valencia Oceanic. On Saturday, as the tension among the runners reached fever pitch, it was time for the technical talks. The person in charge of designing the course, Blanca Iribas, analysed the fast route taken by the Valencia Marathon and, with the help of Enervit, discussed gel strategy, another of the trending topics among runners. Then it was time to hear the stories of runners from all over the world, with the Ambassadors' event. Because, once again, Valencia was running for ‘something bigger’ than just a race. That was the underlying theme of the presentation by the Z Zurich Foundation, in collaboration with the NGO World Central Kitchen, on ‘the power of solidarity in the world of running’. The sports technology supplied by COROS, the environmental focus of Hyundai, and the healthcare component provided by Vithas rounded off the best-attended La Placeta ever.
