63 on their own race bibs, feel the pre-race nerves, listen for the starting gun and set off with an energy that is contagious, and that more than one elite athlete would love to have in order to break records. Because the runners in the MSC Valencia Mini Marathon may be small... but they're tough. Tough... and marathon runners. They also want to run the Valencia Marathon one day. This parallel activity is part of the Valencia Marathon's plan to raise awareness among Valencia's younger population about the importance of practising sport and, at the same time, to introduce the city's children to one of the major events in their region from a very early age. The turnout from the participants and their families was once again huge on a relaxed, enjoyable and supportive Saturday morning on the Paseo de La Alameda. As usual, €3 was collected for each of the young marathon runners who registered for the Mini Marathon. A total of €3,600 was raised for the Pequeño Deseo Foundation, the charity partner of the 45th Valencia Marathon. In addition, as another part to this initiative, the Valencia Marathon also visited the city's schools through the ‘The Marathon Goes to School’ project, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2025. The most delightful parallel event ever.
