The Pequeño Deseo Foundation was founded 25 years ago with a goal as simple as it is powerful: to give wings to the hopes and dreams of children and teenagers with serious illnesses and make their dreams come true, such as enjoying unforgettable experiences, meeting idols and special people, or receiving a gift they have always wanted. It has been scientifically proven that fulfilling a wish generates especially positive emotions among children and changes the way they face their illness. In addition to fulfilling wishes, the foundation works to make hospital environments more welcoming, forge alliances with companies, institutions and volunteers, and maintain transparent and committed management. Throughout its existence, the organisation has fulfilled thousands of wishes —more than 7,500 according to its latest figures— turning that ‘I wish’ into a truly emotional moment.
